Come Join Us For The 2019 Georgia Highway Safety Conference At The Hyatt Regency Savannah

Aug. 11-14, 2019!

The Governor's Office of Highway Safety (GOHS) is the state agency charged with the mission to educate the public on traffic safety issues and facilitate the implementation of programs that reduce crashes, injuries and fatalities on Georgia roadways. GOHS joins with safety partners in education, law enforcement, emergency medical services and engineering to accomplish our combine missions to implement life-saving programs. Georgia Highway Safety Conference participants will meet with their highway safety peers in a forum where they can share program success, learn from one another and develop alliances with professionals from all over the state.

In partnership with the TIME (Traffic Incident Management Enhancement) Task Force and Safe Kids Georgia, we invite you to the 2019 Georgia Highway Safety Conference to learn new trends in highway safety, be motivated to stay mission-focused, and network with highway safety professionals from across Georgia.

The conference will take place at the Hyatt Regency Savannah. GOHS has secured a block of rooms at with the discounted room rate of $123/night plus tax, subject to availability. Hotel room rates and services are subject to applicable state and local fees and taxes, currently 13% Occupancy Tax plus an additional $1.00 nightly local tax and $5.00 nightly state fee. These fees and taxes are subject to change without prior notice.

General conference programming begins on Monday, August 12, 2019 at 1:00 pm. Conference Registration and the Exhibit Hall opens on the afternoon of Sunday, August 11, 2019. Pre-conference CarFit Coordinator Training will be held on Sunday, August 11 from 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm. and Monday from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm. The Monday session will be held off-site and will include a community CarFit and Child Passenger Safety Seat check event. The pre-conference training is available to the first 15 people who register during the conference registration process.

By registering for the 2019 Georgia Highway Safety Conference, you agree and acknowledge that you are participating in conference events and activities of your own free and intentional will. You acknowledge this freely and knowingly and that you are, as a result, able to participate in in the 2019 Georgia Highway Safety Conference events and hereby assume responsibility for your own well-being.

The Georgia Governor’s Office of Highway Safety (GOHS) plans to take photographs during the 2019 conference and reproduce them in educational, news or promotional materials, whether in print, electronic or other media, including the social media and the Georgia GOHS website. By participating in the 2019 Georgia Highway Safety Conference, you grant the Georgia (GOHS) the right to use your name and photograph for such purposes. All postings are the property of GOHS and may be displayed or used by GOHS for any purpose.

The dress code for the conference is Business Casual. Comfortable shoes suggested. Average daily temperature in Savannah in August is a high of 91° and low of 73°.
